so my car doesn't want to drive or reverse anybody know what could be wrong. Last time I drove it was 3 days ago and I felt it be a bit hesitant when I gave it gas. It's a 99 and I only drive it like 2 times a week if that matters

What exactly happens when you attempt to move the car in Drive or Reverse??? Engine stalls? Car does not move? or ?????????
Details of what symptoms actually are experiencing will make a huge difference in what could be happening.
so when I crank it on everything is normal and then I put it in reverse and it will just stay still until I give it gas it will budge slowly. Same thing when I put it in drive
Sometimes when an automatic does not move the car, it is shot and needs to be rebuilt. I have had a couple of auto trannys take a dump over the years. That's what happens. I hope that isn't the case for you.

Please don't be offended. I'm not trying to be mean. You earlier stated "might be a dumb question but idk about cars much it's an automatic does it have a clutch? "
Do you know how to check the transmission fluid on this car? They are completely different from anything else you're used to. It's kind of a PITA but that's one of the things we put up with to drive such a fun/cool car. There is a fill plug on the side of the transmission. You start your car and let it warm up to operating temperature. Then you have to get your car up off the ground where you can remove that fill plug and you have to keep the car level (important). If fluid comes out, then it's full. Put plug back in. Then while car is still running, move the shifter thru the gears several times. Then RE-check the fluid again. If fluid is still full, the trans is toast (barring something like the torque tube being broken or bad). If nothing is coming out of the fill plug hole, then you have to add fluid until it comes out. Put plug back in then go thru the gears again. Rinse and repeat several times until you can't add anymore fluid. If car still won't move, trans is bad (barring other caveats as stated before). With luck, you might just have low fluid level and replenishing will get it going. However, after driving it for a long time on low fluid level, you could be on borrowed time. Hope it works out for ya. Let us know how things turn out.

Does it move at all, or simply just makes no movement when put in gear?
Does the engine die?
Do you hear any grinding sounds or feel a 'lurch' when put into gear?
How long have you owned the car?
And where is the car (east coast, west coast, south north etc?)
If we knew your location someone might be able to help you.
The more information the easier it is to help you.
Hope so... I think the new users should be required to, at a minimum, put their location in their profile before being allowed to post so that possible nearby members might assist or can make recommendations as to where to take their car. Hope he got his car going.
