Default Sharpening steering feedback

New Z06 owner here.
What would be the best mod/mods to get more feedback and feel? Bushings? Negative camber?
Stock is fine but far from brilliant as in other vehicles I've owned.
Thanks

What other vehicles have you owned? It's acclamation time you may need if C5Z is new to you. Alignment might help, it's possible that the past owner had it aligned and they put a normal C5 alignment on it. Z's came stock with -75 front an rear, I found that a -1.25 front -1.0 rear sharpen up the handling with out adverse tire wear.
Have you checked the rack bushing or front A-arm bushing? If the car was run on R comp tires it's possible the A-arms have moved in the bushing causing odd caster.
It may also be the tires are to wide/tall on the front causing a numb feel.

Also remove the fuzz steering wheel cover....just joking.

Mark.

Thanks for replying Mark ☺️. Came from S2000, Cayman, Abarth.
Haven't checked alignment values yet. Its just numbish... Not direct and tactile enough.
Bushings and arms were checked at PPI and are excellent.
Fronts are 265/35/18
Rears 305/30/19.

Poly swaybar bushings gave me a nice upgrade as far as feedback goes. Alignment should definitely be another consideration.

Amazon Amazon

and

.

Don't expect the world, but it definitely improved for me. Endlinks/Tie rods are another consideration.

Thank you buddy.
Are those both for the front ? 4 bushings in total?
What endlinks/Tie rods would you recommend?

Scratch that. 2 are for the rear. Noticed the smaller diameter.

Coming from an S2k, Cayman, Abarth it understandable that the Z feels a bit slow and num. Tire, what brand, if Goodyear F1s (original tires the came on the car new) not so good. Sizes are good.

Brand new Michelin PSS.
I hear ya regarding past experiences. I'm not expecting that tactility. Hope I don't miss it... Although this LS6 is addictive. And that's just stock. My word!!

My wife's 2013 Rav4 has better steering feel than my 2000 FRC

It doesn't look like any bushings are worn, I just chalk it up to internal wear and slop to the steering rack.

I hear ya. Sad they didn't get it better to match the grunt and looks. Just watched Chris Harris video of his latest purchase. 1991 Peugeot 205 Rally!!... Talk about steering feel. So sharp and visceral .

tires and alignment. stock the z06 has terrible steering input. moving to something like a michelin pss really improves it. little less toe in up front, somewhere between zero and .03 in each side also helps

some tires like the god forsaken re760s have the Z steering like a truck

I'm thinking maybe some positive Toe out, definitely higher negative camber than stock, and poly bushes.
PSS already on ☺️

It's one of the things my previous DD; '03 325i (not M) had over the Corvette, that and interior fit'n'finish.
The BMW made one feel like one was an extension of the car compared to driving one. My Supercars have low miles so I can't justify replacing, when I do I'll also look into better tires, alignment options...

toe out makes it turn in fast but stability suffers at higher speed. pick your poison. absolutely toe in the rear if you bring the front to zero or out.

i would try zero first and go from there. get a lifetime firestone alignment and try different combos.

also realize it will NEVER steer like an s2000 or bmw, at least not with the stock rack

Yup. The S2K was sharp and with great feedback.
I'll try it out regarding alignment.
