Rant: just installed the hyperflash harness..Whew!!
I know this is so simple for some, but I had to take some serious time outs!!
I love when instructions just say "now remove connector." I swear, some GM connector engineers are degenerates.
Then, now "reinstall kick panel!"....................I guess if I did it all day long, I'd get the hang of it. I ended up tying string to the connectors to keep them from falling back under the dash.

Glad you got it done, but sometimes using other resources to assist with the job can make it much easier. I have found myself using the instructions on a site like Vette Essentials when working in the interior of the car. Very detailed and simple to follow. And there are other sites out there that are similar in the info they provide.
I have pulled the interior out of my car several times. These cars are simple . With a 10mm and a 13mm a t15 and T20 torx I can have it gutted in 20 minutes.. the trickiest parts being the console and the door panels. Do a google search on how to remove a C5 corvette _______ ? I always get a link back to hear that answers any questions ..

I can gut mine in 5 minutes, but it will never go back together!

I had the fuse panel off in my car doing the LCM5 update right after I got it a month ago. It took me 30 minutes to find out why the fuse panel cover was not going back in. I had it upside down, it actually reads upside down when installed.
At my skill level, I would have skipped he entire deal.
And then one can add my absolute lack of desire to modify my lighting system , and it really fills in the picture on this end.
I happily congratulate you on your work, I dread having to get in there with a 6'2" sixty six year old body, and my day is coming. I need the work done to a high level, and , if I go traveling will need to have working knowledge.

I don't normally modify much either. Skip shift eliminator, Column lock bypass.......and these front lights. The incandescent lights burn the socket.
And, the way they come apart and go together is clever. But doing it the first time is always confusing. Especially how the connectors come apart. EVERY one of them is different, and none just "pull" apart.
And for the instructions and youtube videos.....not much help. The instructions just say "disconnect," and in the videos, the filmer says, "I need to put down the camera now!!!" for the most important parts.
Although the process may not seem intuitive, there is usually a good reason the car is designed the way it is. Patience and information is the key. Even experienced service techs had to learn the ins and outs at one time. I've always found that if you have to force it or it just doesn't come apart (or back together), then something is wrong, and that something is usually me. However, with the amount of information available on the net and a factory service manual, I seldom fail to get solid results, and I'll bet you will too for future mods and repairs.

Thanks for reading my rant!
pretty sure the GM engineer who was solely responsible for the electrical connectors used to be a member here.
If only i could remember his name.... was it evil-clone? No... Malicious-twin? Nah that's not it either....
