Default 04 Z16 Stripes

Anyone who has a Z16 willing to get some measurements for me would be appreciated. I am looking for measurements from the inner end of strip to edge of hood and trunk lid to inner edge of strip. Also can you verify the spacing I have on this directions pic.....Thanks

Front: 2.38 inches from the furthest most part of the red stripe to the lip of the hood, parallel to the center line of the car.
Spacing of stripes have a 2.00 wide space in the front and 2.563 to the rear of the hood.

Roof: 4.00 inches at the front tapering to 3.00 inches in the rear.

Rear: .50 inches lip to the edge of the red part of the stripe.
Spacing starts at 3.00 inches and tapers to 1.938

One more question if you don't mind, on the rear can you measure how far the emblem is from the end of the lid ? I repainted and and can't find my notes. Thanks just what I needed.

Are those factory stripes or reproductions? I want to take mine off, but want to be able to have the option to put them back on if I sell it or regret taking them off in the future. They look factory.

I was the same way about removing them, I had them off for 5-7 years. They are not factory or reproductions, I had a guy out of Texas make a set for $160 shipped to my door. so if I decide to remove them again not much of a loss. Reproductions cost around $500 from what I seen.

They are not factory stripes, three piece cut that goes on as one. If your looking to keep the factory look I would pass and get the reproduction set but the are about $500...Let me know if you are still intrested

Yeah it couldn't hurt to know where to get the reproductions. Please PM me with your source. I assume they don't say "carbon fiber" on the hood then. Your new stripes look really close to the originals in the pictures though. This weekend might be the last hurrah for the stripes on my car knowing $160 is all it would take to put them back. Now to figure out what to do with the polished wheels.......

The reproductions from what I seen do have the carbon fiber on the hood and is a single decal silver-carbon-red just like the factory but like I said around $500, I used the $160 set. I will pm you the source, do you need a set of wheels rims ?

No, I am thinking of selling my set of polished wheels. But if I do, I'd imagine it would be tough to get another set back again to make my car "correct". From what I can tell they are worth about $1000.

Oh... I have a new set that I may put on one day, paid $250 a wheel on here a few years back. Last time I checked he still had them. I may be wrong on the reproduction kit, best to call about the kit if you go that route.
