Default Convertible Question

I know this is going to sound stupid, but I’m a huge fan of the c5 yellow convertibles. Is the top a powered top or manual? Thanks for indulging my dumb question.

All C5 convertible are manual only. There was a company that I saw at Bloomington Gold years ago that could convert it to power. Not cheap but it can be done.

They are pretty simple to put up or down and it takes less than a minute.

The tops are manual, but are very easy to put up or down, and it only takes about 1 minute.

And there are no electrical parts that wear needing repair/replacement.

They could not be any simpler to do. I am challenged by anything mechanical and it took one time to learn it and do it in a minute as the others have said. Would not want it any other way.

As others have said.......It doesn't even take a minute, you could put up or down at a stop light.

Power ones are nice because you don't have to exit the car but the manual one is faster.

manual isn't a big deal to me. i had a 06 MX-5 with a manual top. even with my bad back i had no issues with it. just wasn't sure about vetts. really hope to get one one day. don't mind high millage because makes it easier for me to get my dream car.

because my back is ruined i cant work even though i want to. berley above being paralyzed. so i lived on a very fixed income trying to pay off my bills from when i did work and made 2 times as much. i'm planing to pay down my 4 remaining credit cards as i save some cash in a shoe box. that way i hope i can find me a c5 and make a down payment. i know its a long way off but a girl has to have a dream right.

thanks for the info everyone.

as for my disability my dr says im just above being paralized. i can only stand 10 minutes, walk 25 feet, and sit for a hour. i have 2 surgicaly altered spinal disks, 4-6 ruptured disks, and lots of compresed disks. so im in really bad shape. i usally wake up in tears from my pain in the mornig. i sometimes cry so much in my sleep i cant open my eyes from tears seeling them shut till i wipe my face.

i am sorry to hear of your health issues these cars are really low to get in and out of. are you sure you can do low? and pick your feet up to get them in? maybe a higher up car with a powertop would be easier for you say a mustang or camaro. good luck bob

I must be doing something wrong because it only takes me 15 seconds to drop the top.
