I recently noticed that there is no partition, for lack of a better word, isolating the battery from the rest of the engine compartment. Looking at images, some have this and some don't. So should my 2002 Z06 have one or not? Thanks for the help.
If you're talking about that black plastic L shaped divider then yes, they all came with one. I don't have a picture at the moment but talk to Marc at Vettenuts and he should be able to hook you up.

Yep, I think that's what I mean. Has weatherstripping on top, right? (I don't have a picture either because apparently mine is missing!)

Gerry, if you remember the cover we discussed making, you need the sort of L-shaped flexible wall that wraps around the battery for the cover to rest on. If you don't have it someone in your car's previous life disposed of it when doing a battery change. I recently finished my cover. It came out fairly good and I devised my own way of installing it better to hold it in place. Since me and posting on the forum never cooperate, I'll have to send you a text with the info.
