Ignition misfire or valve spring.

Well unfortunalty it's mine and I'm not quite as awesome as you are. I'm trying to diagnose the problem the best way I can.

Are you around Atlanta? I'd help.

The fact it happens (symptoms) especially low load/rpm dictates the potential causes mentioned. Most likely ignition but higher rpm pressure can control a valve more against the seat compared to a spring at low rpm letting it bounce.

The same way a weak ignition at low rpm (mainly the wire or plug) is reminded by higher rpm. Doubtful it's an igintion coil based on symptoms, those break up under load which isn't the case here.

If I had to bet, I'd vote ignition wire, then spark plug (not really) then valve spring, then coil.

Let us know what I was.

Thanks sorry if I seemed a little pissy but I'm frustrated as this just happened out of the blue. I'll try the wires and plugs then if that doesn't work I guess I'll take it to the stealership and see that they say. Im all the way in Pittsburgh, Pa and unfortunalty we don't have any really great Corvette garages

Just in case you ever need the info- there is a Corvette specialty shop here in Erie: Harborvette. I don't know anything about them except that they have been around for quite a long time.

EDIT: found their website http://harborvette.com/

He asked for other reasons his car could be idling rough. There are a lot of them besides ignition misfire or valve springs. Been there.

Didn't get to the plugs and wires today, I'll get to them tomorrow and update the thread accordingly.
Thanks for all the replies I'm a novice with computer controlled cars. If push came to shove would taking it to the stealer and letting them hook it up to their diagnostic machinery be able to pin point it easier?

So driving it over my buddies house to change the plugs and wires and CEL finally came on. Code came up p0300 multiple cylinder misfires. The misfire is now noticble across all rpm ranges.
So waiting for it to cool and gonna swap the plugs and wires

So we got it alll done the spark plug wires were completely dry rotted and pulled apart in my hands. The number 5 was by far the worst. The spark plug were mismatched it had 3 AC Delco and 5 Denso's. Once we swapped the plugs and wires it fired right up, CEL cleared and it was purring like a kitten.
Thabks for all the help gents

Mine shown those exact symptoms, as well as the random misfire code.. like I mentioned earlier, new plugs & a new IAT sensor fixed it right up.. so hopefully plugs and wires will solve your problems

Just saw your most recent post after I posted.. glad ya got her fixed up.. I figured that would do it
