Transmission fluid overflow
I have an 03 Vette and recently a small amount of tranny fluid has come from the vent tube onto the suspension and my garage floor. I was wondering if this is common. I had it on a lift and the mechanic followed the procedure for checking the fluid level at the check/fill hole and there is still adequate/normal volume of fluid in the tranny pan. Again, is this a sign of pending doom, or something that happens and stops without intervention or incident?
Thanks
Don

Not sure if you've had the tranny serviced lately or not but mine did the same thing after it was serviced by a local shop and it quit after a couple weeks.

It was serviced 3-4 years ago by the used corvette dealer where I bought it. I had the level checked by my mechanic and it's only down a small amount. Still I'm concerned.

If you havent serviced it in 3-4 years... It's time to drop the pan and
service it again anyway..
You'll be able to SEE IF there is any unusual debris in the pan.
These used dex III fluid which is Non Synthetic.. So even if you
say it has only "XXXX" miles on it.. It doesnt matter. Just service it
