I am thinking about insulating the battery partition with some of that tape that is self adhesive foam on one side and aluminized on the other. The foam is 1/8" thick. The idea is to keep the battery and the attached battery tender a little cooler. Any thoughts, opinions, pluses and/or minuses solicited.

It will keep the battery slightly cooler but not by much.
On the other hand Frost King from Home Depot is cheap and you can use the rest of the roll to insulate your rear wheelwells on the inside by pulling them out.
It just fits.

That's what I used, except in tape rolls, about 2" wide by 15' long. It's for insulating waterpipes, (as well as wrapping battery partitions). Alreadty did the fenderwells, etc, with the large rolls.
