Default Push Pin part number?

Greetings,

I have a 98 corvette and I am looking for the push pins that secure the plastic interior roof trim that runs between the removable top and rear window. I am not certain what the plastic piece is called. I have researched these push pins but there seems to be several kinds.

Any advice is appreciated.

I would just take one you may already have down to an auto parts store and match it up. That of course assumes you have one already.

Give Marc a call at Vettenuts. He'd have the part for you.

I found that these pins, when acquired used are beat , as in broken tabs along the pin and don't hold as well as new ones.

I purchased these a while back. Parts manual called for this part number.

I had to go to the local paint store and had to buy a box of 50 for about $7. If you need 4 of these, pm me.

Are these the same size as the very small ones that go in the front A pillar plastic molding? I have measured mine a while back and looked a good bit, but never had any exact matches. Lowes doesn't have anything this small.

Anyone know the size of the ones above?

I wasn't aware of any push pins on the A pillar trim.

The one I posted above is shorter then the one needed for the lower A pillar trim. The retainer your looking for is part # 20540336

#50 as indicated in the diagram.

There isn't any, the a-pillar just pops off by pulling on it. No pins to remove.

OK, I have an aftermarket with boost gauge etc. I didn't know the OEM didn't have the pins.

I do believe 99wht6sp was referring to the lower trim piece on the A piller. Look at my above post with the picture from the parts catalog, items 50 and 51
