i have a 2002 painted targa top and the entire headliner is sagging. I found a headliner for the clear top that is used to.block the sun but listed as rigid not a screen. Had anyone tried this?

Most of us either has or had a sagging headliner. Try to cut the sides and the back and re glue the material back on the backing. I used 3M adhesive.
I ripped the headliner and foam/insulation out on my old coupes painted top. The finish underneath is fine, flat/matte black. Took a little goof off spray and some elbow grease to remove left over adhesive.
I was happy with the look after it was done.
I tried to re-glue, with little success as the foam was completely shot ( crumbling away), I even tried to put new material over the foam, no spray adhesive would work well enough....so off it all came!!!

Had the same issue with my ‘02. Upholstery shop replaced the foam and headliner for $70, still looks great 6 years later.
