Default Going crazy without my Vette

car has been in the shop for over a month getting repaired.

Long story short: My wife was driving the Z06 and a 17 year old kid rear ended her at a stop light. Looked like it just needed a new bumper until they found more damage when the cover was removed. Rear subframe compartment had to be replaced and the exhaust was bent. Car is supposed to be ready at the end of this week, but I'm not holding my breath. Shop is having to deal with insurance and it has been a nightmare as expected. Fortunately the body shop it's at deals in specialty cars and has been fighting for us tooth and nails.

Mother nature just pouring salt on the wound with all this nice cool weather we have been having.

I know what how you feel. My wife's new Lexus was hit on the highway, and it took over six weeks. She's glad its over.

Hope your wife was not injured in the accident. And yes it sucks that it is taking so long to get the car repaired, especially when the driving weather is great.

Bummer about the accident. Hoping your wife was not hurt and that the Z will be back on the road soon, looking better than new.

Wife came out alright except some back pain she had. She is going to PT to help speed up the healing process.

Why is the stock exhaust being replaced? Car had an aftermarket exhaust system on it and it was bent in the accident. Upgrading to Corsa Extreme.

Sorry to hear of the accident but on the bright side, you live in Texas. I'll be without my Vettes for about 5 months soon. Frickin' Iowa winter blues

As long as your wife is OK and your Z gets repaired properly to new condition don't sweat it. Good luck with the repairs.

Was the 17 years old texting?

When my wife passed him in a neighborhood he was texting while driving. When he plowed into the back of the Vette my wife asked and his response, I was staring at your Corvette.

I never hit something while staring at it. My neighbor hit a cop while he was texting though. Hmmmm?

I wish her a speedy recovery.
