Battery Tender Junior??
My bt jr when i hook up always starts with red light for afew seconds than goes in to blinking green and than to solid green--the voltage at the battery is always between 12.45 and 12.60 volts--when i hook up the tender--is this normal?

Sounds about right. My Battery Tender Jr. will show a red light on hookup and followed with a red/green flash a couple minutes later. The red/green flash indicates the car's battery is at 80% of a full charge.
I see this even after driving the car for some distance and then parking it. Sometimes I won't connect the charger if I will use the car within a few days to a couple weeks. Anything after that, the charger goes on and stays there. I have sometimes left the Tender Jr. attached for 3 months at a time during the winter.

yes, normal. If I remember correct, it's explained on the package and the instructions what the lights mean.
