Nice! I did a burnout in my neighborhood last night, it turned out really well. Unlike my somewhat underpowered 96 Mustang GT, the Corvette got both tires spinning with relative ease. It was such a civilized burnout, haha. Very easy to control too.
In between the two burnouts while you were somewhere well down the road and we sat staring at the scenery, I couldn't help but think it would be funny if someone stole your phone or ran it over. Haha

Burnouts aren't really a logical thing to do. You either love them or hate them, can't really explain why. I happen to love them, largely due to my love for drag racing.

yeah sorry about making ya wait, I don't have editing skills yet. I would have found it funny if I came back to a non running camera
Burnouts were cool in high school, and the tires on the C5 are too expensive...
Eh, it depends on what you buy. Sure, if you're buying Michelins then it'll get pretty expensive, but there are tons of rear tires in 275/40/18 that are available for under $200 which isn't too bad at all. I buy tires with burnouts in mind, so I never buy the most expensive ones!
I must be slowly turning into my father as I get older, becoming stingy and cheap. Because I see that burnout and think "There goes the tire life and some of the clutch life"
If it was me 20 years ago I would've thought it was cool and probably have gone out done one myself.

Op, Nice 'vert and nice burnout.
I got all of that stuff out of my system from decades of riding extremely fast bikes. I'm over that stage now. I'm ready for just leisurely cruising around from road trip to drive-in, with an occasional blast through a few gears every once in a while...

I am still working on getting that stuff out of my system. I have GY Eagle Run flats that don't have much tread left anyway. I am ready to try out non run flats for a smoother ride
