Default Found This Bulb On The Driver Side Floor

Anyone know what this little blue bulb is for?
Found it on the driver side foot well carpeting as I was about to vacuum the interior.
Car is a 2002 Z06.

Previous owner did LED swap in all of the interior buttons i.e door switched, DIC, A/H, etc... must have dropped an OEM one.

Nope, I'm the previous owner.....There was no LED swap.
Everything seems to be lighting up.
It might take a while to figure out what this bulb is for and/or where it came from.
Thanks,

There is a bulb like that in the traction control panel that is located in the front on the console compartment.

That's a T4 Neo Wedge bulb. Used for the Active Handling button (lights it up) but believe these types of bulbs are used elsewhere in the car. If you search the forum for 'T4 bulb' you should see what the possibilities are.

Fog/trunk button, active handling, door switches, DIC and HUD buttons, and possibly radio and climate control.

I found a bulb like that on my floor too, it was the top bulb of my DIC gauge buttons, and I had never been in there before, it just spontaneously appeared on the floor near the gas pedal. What a PIA to replace it.

Considering you found it on the driver's side floor, my bet is the trunk/hatch button light bulb. If it is, easy to put back in. If it's a DIC bulb, well, that's more of a bitch to do.

Hope you find where the bulb came from - sounds like a lot of possible locations.

Found it....DIC buttons....#1 "FUEL" and #2 "GAGES" buttons are dark.
Wondering if these 2 are lit by one bulb or two?
Does the gauge cluster have to be unplugged and completely removed to access these bulbs or can you tilt it forward enough without unplugging to remove and replace the bulb.

Yes one bulb per two buttons. I removed the cluster completely to change the button bulbs to LEDs. If my memory serves me the bezel has to come completely off the cluster to access the bulbs.

Looks like there's a dash teardown in my future.
I'll be doing the LED bulb upgrade.
So there are 3 bulbs for the DIC buttons and 3 bulbs for the HUD control on the opposite side?
Thanks,
Silverbird

Which is really a ripoff. Those LEDs are $7 for 20 on Ebay.
