[Z06] Winter storage, what do you do?

I have two fall/winter storage modes.
1. Sleep mode: clean, cover and battery tender: Still available for the occasional nice day in November.
2. Full Hibernation (Mid-December): complete wash/wax, interior detail, cover, Add Sta-Bil and fill tank, peppermint oil inside car and under hood (keeps mice away and smells nice), jack stands and battery tender. The jack stands allow me to further clean and detail the hard to see and reach areas of the car throughout the winter, like the lower rocker panels, wheels, wheel wells, etc.

Here in Ohio I have shut down my 74' C3 for the winter. Full tank of gas and Sta-bil added. Oil change and parked with a trickle charger. The C5Z has been washed, swept and detailed. It has a full tank of gas with marine Sta-bil in it(to fight the effects of ethanol). I hope to drive it a few times on nice days this month. I'll wipe it down with quick detail and fill it up before putting it away. Then it goes on the CTEK and under a cover until March or so.

Bought a 2012 Grand Sport last April but now it has to go to a storage locker for the winter my question is the place where it’s stored has no power if I pull the battery does it harm the car/electronics in any way? Any help would be appreciatedthanks

I don’t think it’s going to do any harm to the car, other than losing any of your presets. I’d just pull the battery and keep it on a trickle charger at home.

No problem. You will be fine. Many here do remove the battery in the winter. You may have to reset your preset radio stations.
