Exhausts
I have a stock C5 vert, with blackwing CAI, and wanting to change the exhaust to get a little more rumble from it. Does a Z06 exhaust make much difference in sound and, or performance? For the money, compared to aftermarket, the Z06 exhaust would be nice, if there's enough difference.
Thanks
Ray Z

Sound; not much.
Power; no mufflers will give you more than what sounds like more (you might get 5HP).

You won’t get much sound improvement - just weight savings.
If you want a truly better sounding exhaust, go with an aftermarket system.

My Ti's seem loud enough and sound good when you get on it.
I have a slightly modified LS6 engine though if that makes a difference.

the exhaust was one of the first things to go on my z06, it was far too quiet for my liking... the only way they sound decent to me is if the car has extensive engine mods or they have been modified

My Ti's with LT headers sounded great. With a cam added, they sound fantastic. It all depends what you want to do with the car.
