New C5 owner here (‘Sup) I’ll bet this subject has been talked about far too much but I can’t find the answer to a simple question, which is;
which one for the money is most popular? I’m leaning Corsa. Any help is appreciated. 😜👍

This is a topic that you will get a lot of different answers on. The one that should be most popular for you would be the one that sounds the best to your ears and fits within your budget. Best way to determine which one you like is go to an event like a car show, check out the cars that have an aftermarket exhaust and then see if the owner will start the car up so you can hear the exhaust.
I have corsa with tiger shark tips on my coupe . Doesn't drone and sounds clean . However it is not very aggressive and sounds like a grocery getter instead of a sports car . Yeah it's crisp but at a cost . Lacks muscular sound and does not do the ls1 any justice in my opinion . Billy boats offer that deep muscle tone of a v8 with some ponies under the hood
Jack is right - like the old expression, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," the "correct" sounding Vette exhaust is in the ear of the listener.
I'm currently running a NXT exhaust which some people think is too loud and others think is too quiet. But, it has a sound my wife and I like and was very reasonably priced. It has a noticeable exhaust when accelerating but a comfortable level when cruising with no drone. No drone is important to us because we do a lot of long distance trips, but for others, some drone is acceptable to get the right sound for them.
Jack's suggestion to attend whatever car gatherings occur around you - cars and coffee; cruise in; a car show, or whatever. When you hear an exhaust sound you like, ask the owner what exhaust they are running. Be sure to also ask if they are running headers and whether they have an x-pipe; those items will also affect the exhaust sound.
Good luck in your quest.
I have the ebay knock off of the Borla, changed out the tips but sounds exactly the same. Sounds about as good as a small cubic inch LS can ever sound.

I have Magnafow with stock headers and factory H pipe. I have considered installing an X pipe.
I didn't have a lot of money after buying mine and hated the stock exhaust. I searched and searched and settled on QuadraPower catback, way louder than the video. Then gutted the interior and sound proofed it. (didn't like the tire noise ether) I was going to replace it but decided to wait until headers were installed, (knew headers make a huge difference) installed XS Power headers and Oh what a difference !!!!! Now love the way it sounds and get many compliments on it !!!! Morel of the story ??? GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!
Thanks people, appreciate the opinions. I just want a nice sport car sound and would like to stay around $1000-1200... Corsa is pretty expensive which is how I’m leaning. I’ve never heard of “Billy Boat” so I’m going to check it out.
When I bought my C5 coupe waay back in 2005, it came with a Corsa "Indy Pace Car" system. The car is supercharged and still has the factory exhaust manifolds and cats (was a CA car). The Corsa system on the car includes their X-pipe.
This system is LOUD under WOT especially in 1st and 2nd It does quiet down as I go thru the higher gears. Cruising on the freeway at the posted speed of 70 in 6th gear, there is no interior resonance and it can hardly be heard. But that speed in 6th is only about 1700 RPM. Downshifting to 3rd or 4th will make the system get louder but cruising at 45-50 is still pretty quiet. Again, no interior resonance.
Not sure what Corsa calls the current equivalent system (Sport?) but I really do like what is on my car.

Billy Boat is a former CART and IRL driver who started developing performance exhaust systems for quite a while. Not sure exactly how long but I put a BB exhaust on one of our C4s about 25 years ago. His company makes nice exhausts and I believe there are one or two of his systems in your price range. Boat exhaust is one of the Forum vendors and several other vendors also carry his products. Good luck with your quest.
