I always thought the drivers side was the left side of the car and the passenger side was the right side of the car.
However, when I bring up the tire pressure readings on the dash the left side says its the passenger side and the right side says its the drivers side.
Which is it.
Most tires these days are directional. Make sure you have the right direction on each wheel. Do not reverse their direction. Rotating directional tires is a BAD thing to do.
Pounder: Point well taken but if you run an asymmetrical tire in the wrong direction it voids the warranty. Also if they were mounted in the correct direction to begin with and someone rotated them l-r and r-l then they would run in the wrong direction indicating possible rotation and one does not want to run radial backwards from their "set in" rotation. Note: That used the be the case a long time ago but today's modern radials are more forgiving in that respect. Case is in buying used tires (which I have done in the past for my Avalanche) the dealer does not usually track the rotation the tire was in in the take off. I never notice tire problems when I did this.

actually read another article that recommended rotating asymmetrical tires left to right for maximum tire wear ???? I never rotate any of my tires EVER !!!! always got more wear than was stated for the tire !!!!
You CAN rotate NON Directional tires left to right.. No harm at all. As a matter of fact
can be a good thing, esp if you are getting uneven wear.
BUT , to my knowledge, I have never seen any C5 tire sizes that are Non Directional.

Agreed. Proper tire pressures and regular alignments checks enable long tire life
Thank you all for your responses.
I did not know about sensor retraining.
The sensors must have gotten out of sync in the spring when I installed a new set of Goodyear Eagle F1-GS EMT tires.
