So I am in be process of installing and hooking up my a-pillar gauges. I recently installed a few billet interior items so I was tinkering around with the “silver” bezels on the gauges. You can also see the a-pillar gauges from outside of car better with the silver rings. Keep in mind the NX seitxh pod does not come with a gauge bezel, it is flush mount. What looks best? I kinda like silver because it stands out more and I’m not one for being discreet. But black looks good as well. Opinions!?
What if you carefully mask off and paint the silver rings black on the "barrels" only leaving a bezel like silver
I think this option would best go with the look of the gauges on the dash too. however, I do think it would be very difficult to get that to look flawless.

if you were starting from scratch I think gloss black bezels and black rings would have looked better but since you already have silver rings on the cluster I think the silver bezels on your pillar gauges would be a better match... really it looks good any way you have it, I still like the first pic you posted... pick which one looks best to you
Drove around with the silver earlier today. Gonna keep them on for a few more drives to see if it grows on me more or not. Black def doesn’t stand out and looks more sleek. I like that idea of inner barrels black! Shoot a magic marker may work.
As far as the car goes, I’m in the process of hooking up the nitrous right now. Still waiting on my NW102 and Fast 102. May also wait to get heads. Not sure anout that yet. Car currently has a tranzilla trans, BTR stage 4 cam and supporting components, AR longtubes, B&B offroad X and exhaust, Vararam intake.
Nitrous setup will spray 100shot out of the gate through 102mm playe kit. Possibly 150 in future if I do a standalone fuel system. Setup for nitrous:
-Autometer dual pillar pod (I did have to cut a hole in factory pillar because of the amount of wires coming through)
-Innovate PSN-1 gauge (built in bottle pressure, A/F, failsafe unit where it turns off nitrous at set parameters, built in shift light, AND window switch all in one)
-NX gauge pillar switch panel
-Lingenfelter LNC-2000 timing retard and launch controller (2step is insane). I wired this to the clutch switch. If anyone has this and needs help I’m your guy. Was on the phone with them nearly 3 hours troubleshooting and ended up having to bypass the clutch safety switch). It simply will not work as advertised on our cars.
-going to get a NX bottle heater and already have this pre-wired and ready to go
-billet bottle brackets from ebay for 1/3 the price
Is the silver just raw aluminum or is it painted silver? can't really tell from the pictures but if its raw aluminum then you should be fine to try painting, even if you screw up it would be easily fixed.

Your Z looks as badass as it sounds from what you posted. I bet she's a runner to say the least!!! I just got one of the MSD 2 step modules...need to install it. Thanks for the heads up about the clutch safety switch...I'll keep that in mind if it's an issue when I do mine. Different units so may be a moot point.
