z06 magnesium wheels
From what I have read 00-01 were the only years they did the magnesium wheels?
As nice as they are, I will want to upgrade them in the future to a larger diameter.
However when doing the budget for the upgrade; I am curious if these wheels are worth anything to anyone on here?
or basically how much do these fetch on avg?
I am hopeful due to the limited production run coupled with the exotic material that they may be worth something...

AFAIK magnesium wheels were never supplied with the Z, only optional on the 5 spoke base model. Add there was no Z in 2000, only 01 to 04. The 01 had Alcoa wheels, 02 - 04 Speedline. I think the Alcoa's were a bit heavier (edit) than the later, had sharper edges, but not worth much more if at all.
All my recollection... somebody may correct me.

Both the Alcoa (01 only) made and Speedline (02-04) made wheels are aluminum. The difference is the Alcoas are forged and the Speedlines are spun-cast.
These are the only C5 magnesium wheels. Never offered on the Z06

The Mag wheels were first for the Euro market, there offset pulls them in a half inch, that was needed for Euro cars regulations. My 2000 MY coupe with them.

If they are in good condition maybe a bit more. Like the TI exhaust, they are getting rare I would think.

Mint I think probably double or close. Curb rash; reduce, any cracks... not good.

I will have to give a thorough inspection....mine are the alcoa ones I believe. I love the looks of them; just wish they were bigger.
