Help with a mod *Overhead Console
Okay,
One mod this car desperately needs and for the life of me I do not know why the engineers at gm didn't do this but this car really needs an OHC.
The lighting is terrible. Has anyone else done this and if so what make and model did you get the donor from?
I do not need anything extravagant but 2 mains + 1-2 reading lights wired to a 2-3 buttons.
I am thinking I can just tap into the wiring for the floor lights, should be easy enough then just cut a hole into the head liner with a razor.
What do you guys think?

When designed the Z06 was intended at a street legal race car, not a Toyota Camry.
Whatever you do, please don't hack into the headliner which are impossible to find aside from a junkyard.

hmmm......my rear view is dead. Only thing that seems to work is a very small orange light in the middle.
As to the others....yea bc every time I get in it I am racing it....don't be ignorant!
God forbid I hold I hold the corvette to the same standards as I hold exotic cars from other manufacturers.

Now that some of us are getting older, a little more light at night would help. My suggestion , is surface mount LED's wired to the switched map lights in the mirror, by running wiring above the head liner. Other options spot LED's mounted to the cross bar cover (peal an stick mounts), wired the same way. No damage to the head liner and functional.
