I pretty much plug mine in everytime it goes in the garage, unless I know I'll be driving it again within the next few days. Doesn't hurt anything and it stays healthy.

I keep my Battery Tender Plus hooked up all the time except when driving the car. The only exception is if I am going to be away from home for a few days then I will unhook the tender until I get back. Just a safety precaution I choose to take.

Drive my Z06 daily (spring, summer, fall) so only if I know I won't drive it for over 4-5 days.

over the last couple years...whenever the vette is in the garage....it's on the battery tender....I am hoping it is keeping my battery healthier longer (at least that's what I tell myself! ).

Yep! i keep it hooked up because I may not drive it every 4 to 5 days.
Gives me a chance to look the engine compartment over and wipe it down too.

Same here, I drive my 02 only on weekends so the charger goes on. I have my 99 to drive the other 5 days.

When the car pulls into the barn, the hood gets popped, and the Ctek goes on, every time.

I'm with everyone else. I keep mine on the charger all the time. I was told that it helps maintain battery health...

I drive mine on avg about once a week--I hook up the Ctek charger into the acc. in the console whenever she's sitting still. No problems in over 4 years.

Going on 20 years now and my car has never had a tender attached. In that time only twice has my car not started after sitting any period of time. Both times on a 5 year old battery. I do change the battery every 5 years if it needs it or not. This is my first year with a red top so I'll see how it works out with out a tender. And yes i own a tender new in the box. Just a good car and a tender is not necessary. From the first winter i owned my car i didn't know any better than just park it and let it sit. Every time i went to take it out it started, No matter how long it sat. Now all i do is make sure the tank is full.

My car gets parked outside over the winter so I have a solar battery maintainer I plug in to the cigarette lighter.

I only plug mine in during the winter months when I generally only drive it once per month or so.

Default battery charger

i keep a charger on my battery all the time set at 2A charge since there are times that it might be over 60 days before i get back to driving the vette again. but it starts every time without fail, and without hesitation.

There is quite a bit of parasitic draw on our machines. Mine is just an occasional ride, so YES it is always plugged up while in the garage.

Due to this practice, I came just a couple of months short of 10 YEARS on the OE battery. I feel certain that maintaining proper voltage at all times goes far in helping any battery to survive.....especially with the rather high drain of battery power while just at rest.

Bottom Line: get a maintainer !!

THX for the response--even if you drive afew miles aday--i thinki in the long run--put in on a maintainer when done driving for the day--float voltage around 13.20-13.40 is better than letting it sit and draining at night
