Royal Purple
Has anyone had any experience with Royal Purple products - good or bad? Our 99 FRC is approaching 80k miles. We drive it April thru November. We bought it in 2008 with <40k, Any problems were immediately addressed. We have no desire or intention to sell it, Thank you in advance,

Royal Purple is garbage. Read some of the BITOG forums it consistently tests worse than Mobil 1 or Pennzoil. It is at best an average oil with a premium price and an even better marketing department. If you want good oil, use Amsoil or Redline.
If your car is completely stock internally, use what the manufacturer recommends and just stick with Mobil 1. I have a stroker and wanted something with a higher Zinc content, so I use Redline.

I used Royal Purple break in oil in by rebuild.
My only complaint is that they died it purple which made it hard to see any discoloration in the oil that may have been caused by contaminants.
