If you are having trouble with your DIC flashing check your Traction control and check your anti lock brakes, and everybody tells you that it is a $900 BCM that needs to be replaced, Take a cotton ball soaked in Alcohol and clean the chip on your key. Fixed my problem and saved $899

I've heard cleaning the pellet is sometimes a remedy for a Pull Key Wait 10 Seconds message, but don't see how it'd have anything to do with brake/traction messages.
More likely getting an intermittent Traction Control/Brake message and just the process of pulling the key out, cleaning it, and restarting clears the message... until it pops back up in the future?

Wouldn’t be surprised if the warning pops back up.
