Does the car have to be moving to check the tire sensors? I push the gauges buttons and nothing happens when the car is not moving. I want to see which sensor is bad without driving the car or using the magnet. Any way?
At the Carlisle seminar it was stated that the car needs to be moving to get a reading, when the car is started the reading shown is from when the car was shut off.
It was also stated that the faster you drive the more accurate the reading.

Make sure your tire shop has this info should you need a repair. I needed a flat tire serviced at a goodyear shop and they proceeded to retrain my tpms because they did not understand.

Honest, officer - I was checking my tire pressure!
