Default Time is fun when yer havin' flies.....

Wow....even though it happened back in October, I just now saw my Forum Ten Year "Badge" under my avatar.

It's been a great ride and I'm still on my first Corvette after over ten years of ownership. Can't imagine being without it and have no real desire for a newer one. The C5 is still my favorite design.

I retired the middle of last month so no more 100 mile round-trip commutes to work in it...time for a break.....and to catch up on some repairs I've been putting off. Nothing critical, ....lets see....list is something like this:

Wipers....only works when you hit the washer button or move the switch back and forth.
Heads up display....pin broke...fell down
tires
driver seat cover
oil pressure sensor
sway bar end links
HVAC display out
Time to change trans and diff fluids

Still loving this car and the thrill of driving it.

That list isn't too scary. I hope you have an easy go with it.

Congrats on retirement!

Congrats on ten years on the forum and hope to see you around for many more years. And on the retirement - sounds like you have a few projects to keep you busy with the car.

Now that you're retired you have no excuse to not crank that post count up! Hope to see you more often posting updates on your repairs.

Thanks all.....there are still days I think about the fact I am NOT returning to work, such as being on a vacation, and will NOT be having to catch up on all my work and continue on until the next vacation.

And there are no worries about becoming stagnant.....bought my first home, plenty of projects, six motorized vehicles to maintain, and nine Grandchildren, plenty to "do".

Oh...and I forgot about new shocks needed for the car

Congrats! I retire next year at 54 years old. As you said, there's plenty to do to stay active.
