Default Weird yellow color

I picked up this promo card (8x11) at Carlisle - yet I’ve never seen one this color - anyone got one?

Ambient lighting makes a big difference in what a color looks like in a picture. It is probably just a plain old yellow C5.

It has to be the lighting in the pic because that car is painted Millennium Yellow which came out in 2000.

It's MY (Millennium Yellow); indeed it's the lighting that's throwing it off. The NB (Nassau Blue) C5 in the bottom right also appears lighter than what it actually does in person.

A lot of promotional material during that time appears different compared to say taking photographs of something with a modern digital camera. We talked about this quite a bit in a recent thread regarding the issues of photographing NB. Photographing something on 35mm as opposed to taking a photograph of a car with a modern DSLR or even something like your cellphone is going to produce what appears to be different shades of color.

It's not the lighting in the picture. More than likely it's faded from being on a vendor's table outside for umpteen years. I've seen originals of this same piece that were considerably brighter. I doubt GM would allow a printed piece to be put out that didn't accurately represent their products.

I would agree, except the yellow ZR1 C4 looks correct yellow.

The yellow C4 below it looks yellow. The picture of the C5 looks like it was taken during sunrise or sunset. The color of my C5 changes with the ambient lighting. Fading might have a lot to do with it, but the ambient lighting has more in my opinion.

Your picture is the same as the OP's, but possibly oversaturated. Neither seem accurate as they appear.

Lol, that's what I think of when I see Speedway White next to Arctic White. One is actually white, the other is like a yellow cream.
