I had to remove sway bar. One other note - it it's an auto, be careful of the plug on top of the trans on the left side. It's easy for the flange to hit it if you're not paying attention.
You'll also want to be careful when removing the muffler hanger bolts so the captured nuts inside the frame don't get knocked out of alignment. If they do, there's no easy way to get them aligned again. There is a hole in the back of the frame, but it's inaccessible without taking the rear bumper cover off the car.
When I did mine, the driver's side was a piece of cake, but the passenger side needed some finagling to get it over the axle and past the transaxle.
