I got some heads that followed with the buy of my C5.
Now these might be original, or something upgraded i dont really know.
I got the springs n valves also.

853's were stock heads that came on my 99. If you do a search you will see the years used and that they probably made it to the F-body platform after a yearf or 2.

take a pic of the casting # of the heads in your car and we can tell you... 97-98 had perimeter bolt valve covers and the coil packs were bolted on individually, 99+ had center bolt valve covers and the coil packs are mounted to a bracket that can be removed with all the coils in one piece... it's possible they were planning to swap heads on your car and never got around to it?... personally I wouldn't bother with those though, if I was going to swap heads I wouldn't do anything less than a 243/799 casting
