Default Sorry... tire sizing question

Im sorry for posting another tire question this has been rehashed 1000 times but struggling a bit here.

I have ordered new wheels 19/9 front 19/11 rear. Ive been trying to keep the diameter of the wheels similar to stock and thats where Im having problems.

I have been looking at 275/35/19 for the front and 305/35/19 for the rear

That rear size seems to not be very common and only comes up with a couple wheels.

Do those tire sizes seem correct? Or should I look at different sizes?

Stock base model front is 25.68" outside diameter. Your proposed replacement is 26.58", almost an inch in diameter larger. If you're wanting to keep closer to stock, and not affect your gear ratio, speedo, acceleration... a 275 30 19 would be closer at 25.50", a 285 30 would be 25.73"; almost identical.

Would you run 30 on the front and back then? Or do a 35 on the back to provide the rake similar to stock?

I have those same sizes on my car... I had 30 series in the same widths before and the car sat substantially lower to the ground and my intercooler was too close for comfort... I didn't want to raise the car back up so by switching to a 35 series it gained ground clearance without having to mess with the suspension... also the 35 sidewall will be a softer ride and can provide better straight line traction depending on the compound if that's your thing... for me those sizes work great and allowed me to have the car sit the way I wanted without having to drive like a grandma everywhere I go

That’s good to know. What tires are you running at those sizes? The 305’s don’t seem to have many options

I did exactly what you are proposing but went with 275/30/19's up front and 305/30/19's in the rear and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

mickey thompson et street s/s, I have also used nitto nt05r in the same size and those are good tires as well but both are drag radials so not everyone wants to use those full time... you are right there aren't a lot of options in that size

I drive the car a lot and not always on dry roads. So going the drag radial route is not the best way to go.

To the OP, I recently ordered new wheels too. Here is what I worked out for my tire sizes. I bought 19"x9" front wheels and 19"x11" rears also. I ordered 265/30-19 fronts and 305/30-19 rears. I only found three brands with suitable matching tires in those sizes. Hankooks, Continental Extreme Contact Sports, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, their newest version just out now. I ordered the Michelins. They are now in my garage waiting for the wheels to arrive.

CCW SP 16a wheels 305/30/19 rears and 265/30/19 fronts both Michelin Pilot Sports.

Very happy with the look and performance. I cannot lower my car because of the road I live on.
