Found a C5 earlier this year, its a 97 black six speed with 41k miles. The guy was stuck $13,000 and wouldn't deal. Well he now has it listed for $11,000, if I recall correctly it has a clean title. Ive been on the fence about buying a C5, I really like my 92 black speed and have started to buy replacement parts here and there because I want to get it into tip top shape. I'm a little hesitant about buying a C5 but what do you guys think? Great price?

Not a bad price IMO for a low mileage car, depending on how well it has been maintained, both cosmetically and mechanically. The C5 is a major leap forward in many areas over the C4. Check out the following stickies for more info on the C5:

Nice price for those miles if it's been properly maintained, unmolested and in nice shape mechanically and aesthetically. Steer clear of flood, rebuilt titles.
Drive a C5 and you will see how well it drives compared to your C4. I really like my 97. Good luck.
C5 is much better car , better looking , better interior , better drive ! 97 is first year but a lot went into production . Read those stickies . The only draw back is lack of availability of some parts . My friend has nice c4 but my c5 is just better . I have 2002 , which has upgrades to 1997 . But the forum has many members with 97s , many high mileage . As said , maintenance is key . Good luck , offer a little less but c5 is best bang for buck !
Ive driven a few C5 six speeds, an 02 and a 97. Both seemed pretty nice. Although I still like the look of my 92 more, something updated would be nice. Besides the ignition switch and ABS what are common problems I should look for if or when I go to look at it?
The ignition switch will hide it's ugly face until you have a bunch of electrical gremlins show up at once...usually lead by a charge system fault and multiple codes on the DIC. Easy fix. Just pull the codes right away using the DIC procedure to see what is hiding.
