lowered C5 tire sizes

I am switching to the 19/20 setup on my 99 vert. Front wheel is 9" wide & back wheel is 10.5". Any input from owners with that set up would be greatly appreciated. The new wheels will be the TSW Nurburgrings in Black Chrome.

255/35/19 & 295/30/20 that is the tire sizes I had for my 19/20 which has turned into a 20/20 due to an issue with my CCW's that I will not get into.

If you check the tire manufacturers measured rim widths those are the norm for 9" & 10.5"

JMO, I'd do 19,19 instead of the 20's. They just look slightly too big on a C5. I'm waiting on my 19x9 and 19x11's right now. I already have the tires and I purchased 265/30-19 and 305/30-19 tires for the right stagger diameter. I am anxiously their arrival so I can finally get them on. I don't even remember how long I've been waiting so far.

Thanks for the quality info. next step will be to find those sizes in the Michelin or Bridgestone tires.

When I had my set up I used 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 worked perfect with no issues .

When MOST guys upgrade their wheels to larger diameter, they usually want to go with a wider than stock tire for maximum looks/traction, and of course fill up those wheel wells etc. You did not even go with ZO6 width tire, why so.

To me, bigger wheels need wider tires, they go hand in hand for ‘the look’!
