looking for any/all bulletins regarding 2004 Z06. have one in mind for purchase , wondering if there are any problems that would make me not want the Z06 vs the standard Corvette of same time frame

The one "problem" I read most often in the Forum is regarding the gas tank: Requires the removal of the whole rear drivetrain cradle to get access to the tank and fuel pump assembly. For earlier C5 owners, the process is much easier,

Wondered about the gas xover; is there a potential real problem or just the smell of fuel (irritant)?

From what I understand it varies in severity, and can be bad enough to constitute a legitimate safety hazard. Though regarding your original question, that would be on all 2004s, not Z06s specifically. The only Z06 specific issue im aware of is the valve spring problems on the 02-03 cars.

I do wonder as to just how common the problem is, I know it is an issue, but it certainly didnt scare me away from my current Z16 car.
