I'm considering 18x9.5" 'spyder' style wheels with 40 offset. And would also like to go with the Wilwood brake kit for C5.... so there is a clearance concern with brake caliper too. If anyone is running this set-up, I'd sure like to hear from you. Thanks!
I have 275-18’s on the front with CCW 505a’s and no rubbing or protrusion past the fender. I bought them used so I don’t know the offset but they have a pretty good lip on them.

18x9.5+40mm will poke pass the fender, but to clear the Willwood brakes it would be necessary. I would do a 265/35/18 at least to help prevent some minor rubbing, plus to the eye the tire will stick out a tad bit less.
