Almost immediately after purchasing my ‘04, I modified the manual shifter handle to take the **** from a factory 98-02 Hurst shifter. To me, that **** is the most comfortable shift **** I’ve ever felt.
Unfortunately, it does not have a shift pattern. I’ve noticed that this ends up being confusing to dealership lot lizards who need to take the car back for service (they didn’t know where reverse is). This has left me concerned that perhaps I need to come up with an equivalent shift **** that has the gear pattern.
Two options I see:
- An equivalent shift **** that has the T56 pattern (no idea if one exists).
- Have someone re-wrap a Hurst **** with a pattern indicator (might be expensive).
Input?

Just put a yellow sticky with the shift pattern written on it, on the ashtray lid. The majority of people can't drive stick anyhow, so now you are drastically cutting down the potential of having the car stolen if they can't see how to drive it. I don't have a shift pattern on my C5, and I like it that way. But I do have the old button in the console in case I forget.
When I had my 2005 GTO, I installed an MGW shifter, a Lou's short stick handle and that same Hurst **** from an Fbody. That was a very comfortable ****. I miss that set up, it was nice in the GTO. But I find the C6 **** even more comfortable.

... that's defiantly a solution

C6 **** > Factory Hurst ****? That sounds like a good option
Or use a C6 ****. It's practically the same shape.
Shape, yes. IMO the C6 shift **** is just ugly though. That sideways tilt on the shift pattern ruins it for me. The Hurst from his F-body (assuming that means 2001 Camaro from his moniker) is much nicer.
The glow model is neat, if not a bit too flashy for me.

That was always my thought. I wish there was someone who wrapped shift *****.
