Got a bad back?
...and hate getting down on the floor to work on your C5? I recently had the 2nd best purchase I've ever made installed in my shop. This 2-post Challenger lift is the 10k pound variety so I can get my truck on it, too. However, if you're thinking about getting one, make sure you get the low profile version. The standard arms won't slide under our cars. You'll also need 220V and at least 12 feet clearance overhead.
FYI...what you're looking at is the highest I can take the vette. I'm 6'3" and I can almost stand up entirely upright underneath it.
Don't troll me about the Ford stuff behind my C5. I sold my 1966 Mustang to get my red rocket.

Great addition to your garage. Sure wish I could install one on mine, but overhead clearance just doesn’t allow it.

I think you could probably get away with it. I'd have to measure the total clearance under the vette when it's all the way up. When you lift it up, you push it up past the last lock, then drop it back down on that lock. Takes the pressure off the hydrolics and I don't see why you couldn't keep it up there for the winter. That way you can get another vette under it LOL

4 post you'll have to figure it out for yourselves
but it can't be too difficult.
Put one at each post somewhere it clears.
For a 2 post measure and cut a piece of plywood and drill some holes in free of mechanism
spots big enough to use coarse #8 sheetmetal screws.
9/64 or 5/32 is good, maybe hog them out a bit so the screws don't snap tightening them.
Then fasten the lights to the wood aimed to the front and back and paint it to match the lift.
You can tilt them up a bit with wedges or something but it's not that necessary.
The plume from the lights is quite wide.
Then cover the wiring on the wood with some C channel or use conduit if fussy.
You can mock it up with some short step stools or something to see how it illuminates.
I got the lights at Sam's Club.
They had a whole pallet of them at the store.
They're Honeywell 49.98 each
Might still add 2 more switches so each light has it's own.

My other bigger 15,000 lb car/truck lift where there was more room for tilting.
Remember the lights have to clear the lift arms.
Before I built my private room.
Had to use some 3 1/2" ramps I made out of 2 by 6s to get under her.
Now
Still have to use the ramps even with the smaller offset 9000 lb lift
