I went with the then stock replacement Power Bond balancer. It is now marketed under the Dayco brand name. I installed in 2015 and still running as straight as a arrow.

I went with the reusable ARP crank bolt as well. I also just drive my the same as yours so I would go with a stock replacement balancer. Just stay away from the AC Delco replacement due to my personal experience. I installed a brand new AC Delco balancer and less than 6 months it was wobbling and then replaced the bad Delco with the Power Bond stock replacement.

Good luck with your decision.

If you get under drive know that it will spin the power steering pump so low that in parking lots as the rpm gets close to idle as you maneuver a turn the steering wheel will get very stiff mid turn.

The solution is to blip the throttle as you feather the clutch when that happens. All of a sudden that throttle blip makes the steering wheel easy to turn. If you have an automatic you're stuck with the hard parking lot steering.

Personally I won't go under drive again. Currently I have stock diameter and its more livable.

Where is a good place to get the Power Bond? Looking at Ecklers and not saying what it is. I have a squealing belt just on cold start. I do see a wobble in the balancer, has 48K on it. What should I get with it? I need to get a belt, need to get tensioners also?

I went with an ATI dampener; pinned it to the crank.
I selected the standard drive for a few reasons including: 1. For a street driver, I didn't see enough added HP to be gained by going with underdrive; 2. I have an A4 so I didn't want the hassle of weak power steering at low speeds in drive-throughs, parking lots, etc, which some UD owners have complained of; 3. I didn't want to deal with the drop in charging voltage, especially at idle. Of course, you can offset this with bumping up your idle speed or going to a larger alternator but it wasn't worth it to me. Because of my cam, my idle is already increased so I wouldn't want to raise it even more.
Best wishes with your replacement.

Yep, AC Delco is garbage...absolute garbage. I'm paying to have another non-Delco balancer to put and I'm not happy about it.

Went on and no wobbles & really smooth

Default Harmonic Balancer

i just had mine done last fall. i was planning on doing it myself, and finally shopped around and found someone that could do it and had a good reputation. i told them the part i wanted, PowerBond p/n PB1117SS, a new crank bolt and washer, and front crankshaft seal. The total job was right at $1183, with a 24000 mile 2 year warranty. it runs great without any problems and now i have a very pesky problem taken care of that i do not have to worry about any longer.

That's what I did and I am glad I decided to have the Chevy dealer do it...because I couldn't have done it myself anyway...

I can do small stuff as a backyard mechanic but not that kind of stuff on a Corvette...I have done lots of stuff on older cars though way back when...but not now...nooooooooo waaaaaaaay

Just for the record, the Fluidamper is SFI approved and only 6% underdrive,so works well on the street, but a little less drag. I installed one a couple of years ago, no issues.
