I have loved those since I first saw them. Mean looking ride. Just looks angry.

Congrats on the purchase! Keep us posted. I think many of us on CF would love to know your thoughts after a few moths of owning the Viper. Thinking of a Viper myself when I am done with the Z. However, that is still a couple of years away.

Love the Viper, and thought about going that route, but cost of parts on some items are astronomical. The bigger issue I find is it's not a good car for HPDE events, unless you have an ACR of course!

First...your Viper is gorgeous.

Second....I've had five vettes over the last 15 years or so including my current 2011 vert. I love them but I'm looking to switch to Viper as well ( see my post from this morning in the C6 section). I'd love to hear more in depth thoughts about similarities and differences.

Third...my family and I spend anywhere from two weeks to a month in Barefoot Landing every Summer. Maybe we can arrange to get some coffee and talk cars in June or July.

Congrats on the snake.

Randy, I thought you were looking to buy a C1 Corvette? I chimed in on your thread over in C1, C2. Vettes, Vipers, it's all good.

Sounds great, call me when your in town, 843-455-3920. The Viper is very differant than a vette, I've had C3. C4. C5. C5 Z06, and 2 C6's and a C7, so I can compare them pretty good, The viper is very RAW! very fast, faster than and vette I have ever had because of the torgue. At any speed, the thing is just instent power. No traction control but big beefy tires that will hook up! Because of the long front end and long wheel base it handles much better for average drivers on a street or curvy road. The seats and interrior is so much nicer than any vette including my C7 Z51 3LT I had. Thick, rich leather seats that rap around you, real open clear gauges, and the steering wheel is awesome, it;s like being in a cocpit of a F14 fighter jet! And if you don't like attention, don't by a Viper! This thing stands out like a Lambogini! But if you want something for long trips, good gas mileage and an everyday driver....Hell no, this is a pure TOY for just crusing and grasping attention! But the funnest car I have ever had!

I guess I'm just looking for a change and the itch is taking me lots of directions.

I was like this before I traded my C5 for my C6. One day a BMW335I was the answer. The next day it was a Maserati Granturismo. The day after that it was a fifth Gen Camaro.

I love the C1. I have wanted one for years.

I guess I'm still gathering info.
