coilovers for street only?
but a decent & inexpensive upgrade is the c6 z51 set.
my car's dual-use, so i did that rear with a c6 zr1 front. the rates are more like a t1 or hotchkis f/r split but less overall. i love the way it feels - very balanced. and it wasn't expensive either.

i had my car lowered on stock bolts..i could never get the look i wanted and coilovers was the only way. Did you have coilovers then added swaybars? If so did you notice a difference?
what swaybars would work good with these coilovers? No track street use only
Honestly, there is no need to upgrade them for street use. Unless you slalom through orange traffic cones while in traffic. Spend your money on other stuff. Keep your stock bars and just replace the end links and bushings with upgraded replacements when the OEM units wear out.

ended up not going coilovers... friend has a z06 that his wife tracks with coilovers. awesome on a course but super-harsh around town - especially on crappy roads. since i also use mine for road trips, i elected to not take it that far.

this is true. the factory stuff is fine - especially if you've stiffened up the corners already.

unless you're planning on actually doing different adjustments based on the differing street environments you anticipate driving in, i'd say just do the stock newer metal ones.

I was under the inpression that i needed them whrn lowered?
i just meant that i ain't read up on that detail & don't have the physical connections & geometry memorized, so i have no clue if that's true or not.
mine's been lowered about 1" in the rear on stock bolts, and the GM metal ones are working fine. i ain't messed with the front ride height because my tires are small enough that it's already too low for driving around here.
