C5 2004 Z06 Commemorative Edition
This week I am taking a short drive to look at a 2004 Z06 Commemorative Edition with 42,000 miles.
I love this car already and hope the dealer does not increase the price when he sees me smiling.
I do not plan on making ANY changes if I buy it! And I really think I will buy it!

I almost traded my 03Z in on a 9,800 mile pristine '04CE Z like the one you're looking at - in pics the paint job sometimes seems over the top/boy racerish - but in person you immediately realize it works well & accentuates the stance of the car - all business.
I will bet you $100 you WILL change it a little bit.....its all good just keep the stock stuff & don't go too crazy. Intake, LT headers, short throw shifter + tune (remove skip shift) - these days w/ the way good restomods now command prices within spitting distance of many numbers matching stock cars I think the mindset in the car culture has changed a little. "Period correct" tasteful mods, especially those that aren't easily visually recognized, don't really hurt the value as long as the car is well taken care of.
The basic bolt-ons really just enhance the driving experience of the Z - & really w/ the 4 basic mods previously mentioned make the car feel kinda like how it seems it should have direct from the factory (especially the shifter).
Good luck shopping & enjoy!!!

Best of luck in purchasing the car - the Z16 Z06 is one of my favorite C5s.

From the online pictures from the dealer someone replaced the original stereo.
I saw one advertised for sale for $275.00 on EBAY.
That was a quick search and I'll look around.
Don't know if the speakers were replaced too or not.
The tires are Bridgestone Potenza 265/40R17 on the front and a 295/35R18 on the back.
I haven't done too much research on tires but I think the car originally came with Goodyear Eagle F1 SC.

I really like just my old base '98 in NB but if I were to change to another C5 it would be for a '04 commemorative such as your looking at , GL!

Love our Z06/Z16...she's #165 of the 2025 produced. Bone stock and has about 45,000 miles of smiles on her. We've owned since 2006 and problem free with exception to gas tank crossover (fixed under warranty and only effected a select group of cars ID'd by VIN), the AC readout and headlights - common C5 problems across all model years.

Good luck on your negotiation. Car looks great. If this is your first Corvette, I suggest stepping back from the excitement of ownership and do due diligence that is focused on the mechanical and electrical workings making sure they all are in good working order. At your test drive, pull the codes before driving and then after driving but do not turn the car off. Also, you may want to take someone with you that has mechanical background that can objectively 'look' at the car cosmetically and how it sounds running. I did this procedure and am very glad I did because one car I wanted to buy, my go to guy pointed out some issues I never observed. Hope all works out well. Thank you for your service from a VN veteran.
