Default sequentials

Well I got'er done! I got the swichback sequentials completed on the frt parking lights. Look and work great. Bright white led driving lights (always on) turn amber for turn signals. Sorry I cannot upload a video, but the photos should give you an idea of the results.

Very cool mod.

Just a reminder though, to sell these on the forum would require the OP to become a supporting vendor.

Default future norm?

The last couple of days I saw two different new Audi s with rear red sequential diode strip turn signals. They were not the mustang type but they were the diode strip type. I am sure that there will a lot of copy cats.

Yep, Audi has been putting it on a lot of their cars recently. They started the LED strip DRL trend, wouldn't be surprised of others follow suit with sequential turns. I built something similar before I knew about the Audis though.

So you pieced this together vs buying a “kit” and installing it?

That really looks good!!! I want that for my car. How about doing a "how to" posting to explain where you got the pieces and what you had to do to make it work?

Well here goes....I will try to explain my sequential install.
I purchased 2 sets of light strips ebay item #401430516931. About 12 bucks each. 30 mm. These assemblies have a faulty program in my opinion that when either turn is turned on..both sides 'run'. I think that this is confusing to other drivers..looks like 4 ways. So 2 sets are required to have the sides work independently.
First, remove both turn sig relays from foot well fuse panel and install a jumper wire in each socket center to bottom right terminals. Verify proper signal operation without driving lights working.
second, on each purchased light assembly blacken one light strip with black tape.
third, loosen and clean park light lens and position light strip on face. Tie strap second lite strip to rear of light behind fender after reinstalling lite lens.
fourth, wiring...black is ground, red to accessory fuse in under hood fuse panel, yellow not used, green OR blue tapped into turn sig lite feed at park lite bulb socket. green = lite flow in one direction, blue = lite flow in opposite direction. only one of these is used on each side.
fifth, repeat other side.
sixth..sit back and enjoy light show!
