I have a stock 2002 coupe, i noticed that i had a LS1 airbox lid, i thought the 2002's had a LS6 airbox lid, does that mean i possibly have a stock LS1 intake manifold? How can i easily check the manifold without taking it off? Thanks

Only the Z06 got the LS6 airbox lid - the rest of the C5s got the standard LS1 lid with the smaller opening. Your 2002 has the LS6 intake manifold though.
You do have the "LS6" style lid. It just has a smaller front opening than the Z06.
The earlier pre-Z06 cars (pre-2001) have an air box that is fed through side intakes. There are four "tubes" that run the inside length of the box towards the middle. For 2001 onwards the opening was changed to the front, and the only differences between a Z06 and a non-Z06 car is the front opening is larger on a Z06. Easily remedied with a Dremel if you're so inclined.

I'm not too worried about the airbox lid, it just made me think if i have a LS6 manifold, i will be upgrading to a CAI soon when i get funds.

Thanks, is there a easy way of telling without taking the manifold off?
