i am about to finally change the trannyy and differential fluids. Been scouring the forum to see what others are using. it seems like most are using amsoil or redline. any comments on royal purple synthetic 75w-90 for the diff?

Reason: typos
I used the royal purple stuff. I think at this point its more about how often you change it rather then the quality... every body seems to use whatever they can get their hands on easily.
I swapped mine out w/ Amsoil....I think I did a write-up on the forum about it b/c the rear gear oil was pitch black after 14k (goes in clear lol) - There was an immediate difference felt after swapping the fluids, especially in shift feel. I highly recommend the Amsoil products I'm very happy w/ the performance & results, seems like they're one of the preferred brands for the corvette. Redline is also commonly used for the tranny.
Remember the manual vettes take AUTOMATIC tranny fluid.
and this in the diff (no friction modifier required)...
It's strictly a weekend driver, including some spirited backroad blasting on occasion. Gears shift smoothly, and not a peep from the rear end. They both get dumped in the winter. They come out pretty well the same color/clarity as when they went in. Cheap insurance in my book. Besides, winters can be long here, and I've **** all else to do.
