Installed the brake motive rotors and pads today.
Did my first brake job last year (I have no idea why I'd never done it before then and now I'm too old to do it much longer) and as simple as it is I was worried if I ran into a problem. Third wheel I did was a royal pia. Rotor was stuck on and worse the caliper slide pin was really stuck in there. Finally solved both problems but took much longer than expected. The slide pin also was dragging the inside pad (rr wheel)and it was practically gone. The other pads had plenty of life left. These were oe on my 04 with 43k miles.
For now happy with the look. Haven't bedded them/driven it yet.
In that second pic the pad on the right is the inside pad on my right rear wheel.
Obviously dragging.
Didn't think a brake job would make my car go faster??
Rotors look great and so do the rims.
Nice job on the installation.
Thanks.
I actually gave the wheels a thorough cleaning a few weeks ago on the car and now I'm pissed I wasted my time as I wasn't sure then that I'd have the wheels off. I still had to clean them since I had them off. Ended with a coat of zcs. They should stay clean easily all year.
My brakes from Brake Motive are scheduled to arrive today. My plan is to change this weekend. This is my second set from them, this time I ordered them in Black.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures of them installed and the black worn off the contact surfaces.
