Pulled my air intake tube the the other day to clean the filter on the vr-b2. I noticed a black plastic cut out peice and found out it’s a air stack for the tb. I wasn’t paying attention the way it was installed originally. I sorta just grabbed and yanked it out surprised to see something in the tube. I was wondering if anyone has some know how to reinstalling this part would be greatly appreciated. I didn’t have any plastic clips although I’ve read people having and not having them. Any pictures or videos available anyone ?

It has been a decade since I heard that term being used. As I recall it was suppose to allow more air to enter the TB, which was popular during the old carburetor days. With computer controlled cars and TB systems, the larger velocity of air actually slowed down the flow of air entering the TB and cause a leaner condition. Tuning could bring back the response rate but did not increase the power levels. In the early 2000's advertisers would take a stock C5, add whatever widget they come out with, tune the car to run with the widget and dyno'd the car. The first run would be the c5 base and the tuned widget run (best of 3) would be the final result. Funny thing was they would only publish the graphs and not methodology. The magazines were sometimes involved in the testing and those who advertised the most always came out on top....
I’m not trying to be rude or anything, but I believe the topic was about installation of this part. Regardless of any claim to gain I just wanted to put it back. Thanks Gordy for some early knowledge. I’m really looking for something to put it back on if anyone has any help would be great.
