Good afternoon all, I just bought a 2001 z06 on Tuesday and it just started pouring rain up here in Washington like always😑. Well when I got home today and looked in the car, the passenger side floor board was pretty wet right next to the kick panel...
I pulled the battery and took the passenger udder (which was not clogged at all) out and put it back in. It looks like the leak is running down the panel between the dashboard and the door (that little removable panel above the kick panel), and traveling over to the left where it drips from the back right side behind the glove box. I find it hard to believe that this would be the a/c condensate drain though, because it didn't happen when I had the a/c on the other day.
Any other ideas? I read that the doors can leak too, but I couldn't find much on that when other than some silicone might help it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

I will try to make it easy for you. Locate a good window installer they know how to find leaks. I had someone local to me and they remove my window tracks where the window go up into. The water was running down behind that ending up in my passenger floor board. Not real bad but it was wet a little. I don’t drive my car in the rain unless I’m out with it and get caught. They cleaned all that up and put all new silicone. Been out in the rain with it and heavy rain. All good. Hope this helps.
There is more info available is you do an advanced search.
It would be helpful if you did two things:
1. Fill out your profile so people know where you live
2. Go on the Pacific Northwest regional forum and you will find local people with a lot of knowledge who are willing to help.
I am in Puyallup and my 2002 Z06 developed the leaks like you have. It is not too hard to get rid of them.
Thank you for the responses everybody, I sealed the door hinges yesterday when we had the break from the rain. I'm going to pull the door panel and carpet next week when it's nice and do the ole hose trick. Hopefully I'll be able to pinpoint exactly where it's coming from. Again, thanks for the help, and thank you for the documents Jack, very informative.
Good evening all, I have been unable to stop the passenger side leak, and just discovered a driver's side leak as well 😧, so this weekend I'm going to take the weatherstripping off of both doors and do my best to seal the problem areas (rain gutters, black triangle, etc). I've been reading up on these issues in multiple threads but I was wondering if anybody has a file of pictures for this, and the exact troublesome areas to seal? I've been reading the rain gutters are difficult to get off without breaking them as well, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
