I've been searching high and low for a pic of the C5 mount installed, and I'm shocked I can't find one anywhere. Just got the mount and before I tear into it, just noticed no instructions in the box. What end goes up? I've seen ton of pics lf these uninstalled, some the slots up, some the slots down. One end (slot side) has a smaller square face, and the other is wider with rounded ends. Might be easy to figure this out when I take the stocker out, but I'd rather get this figured out before hand if not. Please advise. Thx!
The mount is basically the same up and down. You need to remove the bracket that is bolted to the stock mount, and fasten it to the new mount. Then reinstall the same as the removal of the original.

Thanks for the recommendation but, I'm not a racer wannabe, and the only reason I'm changing it is one of the studs on the stocker is broken. I was kind of surprised the next step upgrade was $165, so there's no way I'd be spending Pfadt money in light of my usage - Which is just summer cruising with the wife on the occasional weekend.
If the weather ever breaks and I get my car out of storage ill take a pic and send it.
Over the winter someone introduced a new alternative product here on the forum. It looked solid. If I recall correctly it was at a similar price point too.

Thanks bud. Yeah I saw that new piece from SAC City, but just looking at it, it seemed with that set up that it would transfer much more vibration than the Hinson, which is already firmer than the stocker. Unless there were a good number of folks online already with raving reviews, I didn't want to be blazing any trails on this.
My M6 has 8 lbs boost.
I also have the ECS trans brace.
With the pfadt mount I modded the counter weight and was able to keep it.
It's as smooth as stock as to vibration.

I hear ya on not wanting to be beta testing new products. I like the Hinson. My wheel hop was minimal and now there's none. Minimal added vibrations...I did the engine mounts at the same time so it's hard to tell which (the little bit) was the source.
installed to long ago to remember why I put it in this, way but it made sense this way to me...
Thanks Joe, although that loom is right in the way, it sure looks like the rectangular slot is at the top. I'm guessing that bracket can only go on one way. I just got a set of replacement 10m x 1.50 stainless nylon lock nuts and washers, so I'm ready to go.
