was wondering if anyone has attempted to install a 10.1 inch 2 din radio to their c5? My bezel is already hacked up anyway so I was planning to do the upgrade on that bezel. Would it be possible to relocate the dual air controls to the ashtray compartment to make room for the screen. Measures
6.1 in height and 9.5 in width. Also can I just hook up some after market subs in the doors to the stock amp? The radi is already aftermarket single din alpine.

I was looking at these android head units myself, however was specifically looking at the 8 inch models as they would fit perfectly and have an actual volume ****.
Just so I could the gps better I don’t actually think it will fit after measuring. I would have to relocate the 4 ways. I’ll end up buying a new factory bezel and prob a clip holder thingy for my iPhone
This would be my choice if you want a huge screen. It will adjust up and down 2.36" and tilt to get you the perfect positioning and you won't have to spend $300 on a double din bezel conversion: https://alpine-usa.com/product/view/...auto-ilx-f309/
I used the 7 in version, and it fits between the vents and climate control. I don't think anything bigger will fit. I have mine set up to bluetooth tether to my phone, so I can run Waze directly off of the headunit.
About to order up the new version with android 9.0 my bezel is already destroyed I bought the car like that I’ll get a picture up but I’m thinking it’s gonna be a nice fit

That is friggin cool..and it won't totally block the ac vents.. ..well just blow at the back of it but still make it into the car...this might be the future upgrade for me..verts hate screens.
Quit fit install I’ll prob cut the plastic divider for the ash tray to lower the dual zone control and bracket that should give back the clearance for the air vent still keeping the ash tray and cigarette lighter. IM now stuck doing and cleaning up the previous owners hacked up wiring as well! Factory harness appears cut I have another harness in those dunno what it goes to. I’ll get a picture of it when I get this unit back out and a double din mounting case. Other than that I love this thing taking it to have installed I bought the adapter kit so I can put it back to somewhat of a factory style for the wires. Built in WiFi with 4glte. Rear view, split screen navigation, dvd,tv.dab it’s got it all. Gonna see if I can run a dual os which I should be able and hook up the hp tuner via USB port which I have a 3 port module I will throw on the back of the radio it has it own fuse.

I'm a huge fan of Android head units. They do everything and more,
As per the hack job on the wire harness, you could get a tool to re-pin the wires and and slide the pins into an stock or aftermarket harness.
Otherwise wired harnesses are available.

Does this radio harness run to run to that electronic box under the passenger floor board? Seems like it would be a breeze if so to just buy another harness and run it if that’s the location I don’t know for sure though

Yeah. the only purpose of the PAC module is to make the Bose woofers work with aftermarket head units. There is a processor in the foot-well for the subs. Each of the door subs has its own class A amp that gets its signal from the PAC unit. The stock system line level went from the head unit to the processor and back from the processor to the head unit. The other head unit outputs went directly to speakers.
My body guy has my service manual so I cant provide the pin out at the present moment, but if you request a pin out in the tech section I'm sure someone there will help.
