The glass has come completely loose from the fabric on my 2004 Corvette.
I know some have had success in gluing the glass back in place, and the local custom shop use this process when possible.
However, they looked at my car and said that the glass has come completely loose, and the fabric has pulled up as a result. They cannot glue in back in place.
They quoted me $1105 tax included to install a new top. They have the top ion stock, and will take a day to do.

That price sounds about right. I wouldn't feel bad paying that.
You could try re-attaching the back glass yourself. Nothing lost if it doesn't work; you would still need to get the top replaced.
The best price I nave seen is 399.00 shipped for the top alone. Most were 500 to 600 with glass windows. I would say that is a good price to have the job done.
I have put tops on a 66 and a 68 myself. It is not a bad job but does require several hours to do the job correctly.
I reinstalled a glass window in a mustang top. I used the 3M window weld and it is still in and not leaking after 3 years. I did not remove the top from the frame.
Good luck with your decision.

Contact Al Knoch interiors from Texas, they attend Corvette Expo in Knoxville and will make an appointment to replace you top at the event. Pre appointments are mandatory.
Huntsville isn't too far from Knoxville.
Next Expo is this fall (I believe)
Except for the strap that held the window from falling, mine was completed detached from the top. I glued the window using this procedure. Has been holding great since late summer 2017.
Bought Rhino Ultra Glue and “Universal Vacuum Clamps” (six in a box) on the Internet.
Unlatched the top to loosen the fabric. Supported the top with a piece of PVC piping. Stuffed pillows against the window from the inside.
Removed the old glue stuff from the glass using a glass scraper. Cleaned the fabric and glass with rubbing alcohol and glue remover. Masked the outside fabric as a protection against any glue run off. Glued glass top first using all 6 clamps. Clamps stayed on for 12 hours for each application.

That is a good price if done correctly and they dont come back a nickel and dime you.
I bought mine on Amazon. $500. Then went to a guy here in Austin Jim's top shop. He charges $450.00 to install. Done an awesome job too
I would make one recommendations when replacing your top, is to replace the headliner, a new top doesn't come with headliner. The upholstery shop will use the old one, and since you having new top, do it right the first time.
I had the same problem on my 2K Vert triple black (OO). I did the Rhino glue. It works BUT only lasted 4 years. Had to do it again 4 years later, and then it was time for the 3rd time.
By that time (1/2017), I decided to get a new top. Had a shop do it for me, $1200 total.
Another option is to contact Vetenuts and see if he has a like new top, in stock, off a salvaged car. They are easy to swap. his shop is not too far from Huntsville.
